This nomination was for my role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in 2014-15 for the course, Introduction to the History of Africa. It reflected my ‘significant contribution’ in assessment and teaching delivery, which enhanced the student learning experience by using imaginative ways of teaching and by including new media to support seminars
2013: Academic Prize: Honourable Mention
INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE HISTORICAL STUDIES CONFERENCE
Awarded 'Honourable Mention' for my paper, 'Ujiji: Urban frontier in the era of long-distance commerce, East and Central Africa, c.1830-1890' in the category of 'Best Paper by a non-Central Michigan University student.'
